A key component of my teaching effort is to advise Capstone Design teams, where students collaborate with industry partners to perform directed research and prototype manufacturing. Upon successful completion of this two semester course, students are able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of design theory and methodology.
- Perform CAD/CAE analysis.
- Understand applications requiring design optimization.
- Demonstrate proficiency for capturing ASME codes, product safety, human factors, material selection, legal aspects of design, and professional ethics in engineering design.
